Every year I drool over these thick wool blankets, but I'm too cheap to make them mine. Thank god for knock offs for people like me. Due to my hairy house mates I wash my couch throws once a week. These just might fit the bill!
Tangent: The other night I was attempting to keep my dogs out of the bed. When I crawled in I sent my feet to Bryan's side of the bed searching for warmth. I stopped when I felt something warm and fuzzy and said, "is Charlie in the bed already?" And he said, "no, that would be my leg." See what I'm dealing with hair? I mean here.
Anyway, blankets...we were talking about blankets.
Swiss Army Blanket from the Sundance Catalog, $298

Swiss Wool Blanket (well 70% wool) from Cheaper Than Dirt, $19.97

Woolrich Hudson Bay Point Blanket from Cabela's, $299

Swiss-Link Italian Wool Blanket from the Sierra Trading Post, $23.76
I'll take one of cheap...I mean each!

ooooh, you and your punny puns that pun. another thing i'm allergic to, you ask? that's right: wool. however, this post reminds me that i need a new couch blanket! cotton because chuck and i are fighting over the only non-polar fleece blanket on the couch. i hate polar fleece and now, magically, he does as well. PLUS! dog hair! yech.
ReplyDeleteWe have a system where we cover the whole chair/couch with the throw for the dogs, and when we want to sit down, we fold it down so we're sitting on the hair-free part. But we always get mixed up about whether half-down is the dog side or not, and then it switches and we're sitting on the hairy side and the dogs get the clean part. So hair everywhere. Gross.
ReplyDeletei like the swiss army one. :) cute-NESS.
ReplyDeletemylittlebecky- I hate polar fleece too. Static + dog hair= yuck. Did you learn that equation in vet school?
ReplyDeleteSteam Me Up, Kid- We have the same system. Minus the fold it over to avoid dog hair. Instead I change into dog friendly clothing when I'm at home.
Sheree- Me too. I hope someone gets it for me for Christmas!
Speaking of blankets...I just saw those "cable knit" blankets at Macys' today...didn't you want one of those? they are lined with fuzzy material and they are only $79...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a medical blanket actually but the woolen texture looks very good and warm.
