Happy Thanksgiving!

The Indian posed pretty for the camera, but the little turkey wouldn't sit still...

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with all of my favorite F words. Family, Friends, Food, and Fuckin' Fantastic pies ;) I'm thankful for all those things, including you. For taking the time to read my crazy and sometimes leaving a little comment to help tame it.

Also Happy Birthday to my Mamma! Love you Mom!

Here's to a relaxing 4 day weekend full of thankfulness...

A Twilight Wedding

Two of my favorite things!

Good thing I'm already married, because part of me would've loved to do this. I would have had to keep it a secret though, because I'm positive my friends and family would try to talk me out of it. Like when I told Lauren I wanted to do the dirty dancing dance for our first dance and she said "Nikki....no." In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't. And that's what friends are for. Thanks Lo!

But a Twilight wedding? *sigh* Will I ever see Bryan in a pencil tie?

If you break your leg before your wedding, you score extra Twi-hard points. I'm kidding, please don't.

A weekend with Mr. Generous

For the past few years, in lieu of birthday gifts Bryan has asked for donations to The Humane Society or the Food Bank. On Saturday we headed to Costco to throw down some money for those in need. On the way home we stopped by the Food Bank to drop it all off. On this day there was a group of young boys volunteering, and they all shuffled out of the building to help us unload the goods. One of the adult volunteers asked us if this donation was from an organization, and I said "No, this is my Husband's birthday gift to himself." So the woman turned to all the boys and announced the same.

I'm very proud of his generosity and compassion for others. I need to remember these things about him...like during the moments I get upset when he's cursing other drivers. Underneath that rough exterior is a very big heart. Thanks for letting me share your moment Bryan.

In the afternoon we headed South for Kinley's 2nd birthday. Time sure does fly. I got to hold her an hour and a half after she was born. I remember kissing her sweet little face and then the nurse said "okay, time for her first bath!" I realized I probably had amniotic fluid all over my face. Lisa...I've never felt so close to you ;)

Happy Birthday Kinley!

On Saturday night, Katia and I went to see the Season 5 tour of So You Think You Can Dance. Neither of us was very pumped, but once it started I began to remember a bunch of my favorite dances. IT. WAS. AWESOME. Made us both want to dance again. It was the last show of the tour so they did a lot of funny stuff, like switching costumes and attempting to do each others dances. It was a good time. Thanks for taking me Katia!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Count down to Turkey Day.

Thoughts on New Moon

Photobucket

My own Edward/Jacob situation
(yes I know Issy's nails need to be cut thank you)

Things I liked:

Yep I'm bringing out the bullet points.

  • The sparkling? Much better
  • Jacob and Bella's relationship is adorable (still team Edward)
  • Love Billy Burke
  • My girl crush on Kristen Stewart has only grown
  • When Edward comes back....*sigh*
  • Everyone got a little more screen time to develop their characters
  • I was pleasantly surprised by the wolves. I mean they're boys that turn into wolves...that's strange enough right?
  • The Volturi is perfect...except sometimes Aro reminds me of Paul Rueben's character in BLOW
  • True to the book and I loved seeing whats in my head come to life

Things I didn't like:

  • Something is up with Edward's left nipple...I think it's just the hair pattern. It's okay Rob, I still love you
  • How many time the girl behind me said "this is gonna be epic" and cracked her knuckles
  • The wolf with the jiggly six pack
  • The vamps makeup (that was for you D...I still love Rob in lipstick)
  • The score. I liked Twilight because they used less classical musical and more artists. Hated the music they used when Edward was on, loved the music with Victoria
  • Wished they'd shown more of Victoria and hate that Rachel Lefevre won't be in the next
  • Jasper's hair...he looked like Ronald McDonald
  • How animated Edward got in the end, I like a sullen Cullen
  • The end....ugggh. Not that I didn't know how it ended

I've decided Bryan and I need to have more serious talks in the woods....

I was surprised at how many times I laughed even though it's supposed to be the most depressing book. Maybe it's just because when you read it, in your head it doesn't seem as cheesy, but when you see people actually deliver the lines its kinda funny. Either way, if you're a fan...you'll like this. Go see it, let's get more money for the next movie please!

Thanks to all the ladies for going to the midnight showing. Truly an experience. Photos of the fang girls coming soon! (no we don't call ourselves that...they were handing them out in line..sheesh!)

New Moon is here!

Update: According to Lainey Gossip, Robert Pattinson's new movie Remember Me is one of the previews. I think it looks pretty good....why won't they just let him keep his British accent?

I'm headed to the midnight showing with some friends tonight. I figured I'd share some photos to get us in the mood. I definitely need to invest in a hair stylist and makeup artist. Kristen Stewart looks badass in this allure photo shoot! She should've been a vampire.
Come on, drool with me...

Oh Robert, you look so out of place in your Cape Cod wear. Hot, but out of place. I'm hungry for lobster now...
