During spring break my Freshman year of high school I stood in my girlfriend's bathroom and made a mistake. I took the scissors to my head and cut some fluttery bangs. Yuck.
Then I had to go to prom...not pretty.
That's me with my eyes half closed
Focus on the bangs, not the beautiful pink dress you're wondering if I still have and can you burn borrow it? Oh I still have it.
But now I'm thinking bangs again. When I saw Kendi's thick fringe I fell in love. I don't have a lot of hair though. Think I could pull it off?
She obviously has kick ass style to go with it. I could bring it...I could.

You could definitely bring it - do it! I think a thick set of bangs would be darling on you!
ReplyDeleteoh wow....look how young you all are... You don't need bangs: you have a beautiful forehead! My forehead is the size of an airplane carrier's deck so therefore I wear bangs. Wasn't D's dress lavender?
ReplyDeletebangs! go for it! :)
ReplyDeletei cut isa's bangs this summer and she looked like demi lovato http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1416215/ and not in a good way...she'll never let me touch her bangs again.
but your bangs aren't too bad? but heck, what do i know? i cut my daughter's bangs like dora the explorer's! ;)
Jaime- thanks girl, so supportive of me always.
ReplyDeleteDiana- It was your daughters bathroom I cut those hideous bangs in. It was lavendar. And I think you made her dress too! Nice job!
Sheree- Dora the Explorer?!! Ahahaha. I bet she looked darling. My Mom used to cut my bangs too...It didn't always work out.
Um yes!!! I love the potential bangs!!! I think you did a lot better on your bangs than I did (or rather) my friend did on mine 2 years ago. I went for the "pixie" look. Like really really really short. It was awful.
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm speechless. Look at Cory in the picture -- he must've weighed 130 lbs. I haven't seen this picture in years!
ReplyDeleteI think you should go for it!

My bathroom? Oh man - did I talk you into it? That BR has seen some hair traumas - I died my hair RED a week before senior photos (well I made Stef do it) and it was pretty horrible - much worse than your bags. And I recall you with bangs growing up - so I always think they suit you and can pull it off! ;)
ReplyDeleteCarissa- I think you would be cute with pixie bangs. Can you find a picture of that please ;)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn- I thought you'd like that! Why were we all in pastels?
Jenifer- Thanks! I think I might. Although it's really hard for me to wake up with sexy hair when I have bangs because they're always standing straight up. I guess I'm married now though so it doesn't matter ;)
Danielle- Yes ma'am. No you didn't talk me into it. Maybe I'll come cut them in your bathroom again. You know, to keep tradition.
Hi there! Well, I'm older and have bangs so if I can do it, why not you?! They're flirty not heavy so I can just blow them away from my face a bit, if I so choose. (And they grow out!) Thanks for visiting my blog. I don't have much on my kitchen reno on my blog just now. I have one post about the color I picked for the old cabinets, which I didn't replace (even tho tempting). Quartz countertops, since you asked about them, are not much less than marble. Viewed as a green product, tho. Formica comes in some amazing designs now even you're really wanting to stick to a real budget. Go take a look at those options....amazing. Also, check out butcher block, which I love. See ya! -susan
