Superbowl...minus the football

Yesterday was Superbowl Sunday. I always know it's near by the chip display at the grocery store. Who played? Not important. What we ate? Very important!

Lauren and Josh hosted their 2nd Annual Superbowl party. Always a success...although this is an assumption, I don't recall if I made it to last years.

On to the food!

The best part about a Superbowl party with dancers...
they could care less about the game!

Dana's messy bar...I see some blood, sweat and tears near the triple sec

However, she produced these amazing margaritas.
And I want you to make them...right now.

Dana's Margaritas
1/2 oz. Chambord
1 1/2 oz. Tequila
1/4 oz. Triple Sec
3 oz. Sweet and Sour Mix

Add all ingredients to an ice-filled shaker.
Shake and strain into glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend!

  1. New Orleans won....just in case you need to know. That would have been one fun city to be in for the 'after Superbowl party'. I hear they have wonderful food. You should have been there.

  3. Diana- I didn't know that! Thanks for the update. I would love to do a little food tour of New Orleans. Maybe if I commit to just a food blog I could get a tv show on the food network. But then where would I complain about my husband at?

Mandy- Blast from the past! I forgot you were a Backstager for a minute there. *sigh* the good ol' days. I think she's in the 'quah too. Hope you had a good "baby's first superbowl." I keed. I know you don't care about it either!

  4. we (including david) didn't watch we went to macy's and made the boy in red (devin) buy everything because if you wore red you get an extra 20% off - then we stuffed our faces at five guys burgers.

david was butt hurt that his soccer game was cancelled because of the superbowl - so we ate until he felt better! :)

PS do you think lauren will share her chicken verdi chili recipe? YUM! i need to make those margaritas in the near future.

  8. Sheree- Haha! I would've paid to see Dev up at the counter all by himself buying your guys' stuff. I love 5 guys...YUM! Asked for the recipe, I'll send it your way!

Carissa- I love to eat...obviously. Working on getting that recipe!

Becky- I love that spinach dip! It's just the vegetable soup envelope by Knorr...in the soup aisle. Recipe is on the back. Serve with sourdough bread or veggies! So good.

Eric- At first you sound so educated and then you go and use words like bomb diggety. Chambord margaritas really are the shit ;)

  9. Your spinach dip and bread bowl look amazing. My aunt always makes the Knorr stuff so I can vouch for its tastiness.
