I LOVE all the birdy stuff! Definately more whimsical than being a cat lady. I identify a cat lady with a creepy dark house that has a stale smell, having ratted hair, and a proud owner of a stair chair. Of which will eventually be the cause of her death, being flung out of the window on the top floor due to tampering by little reptiles with claws. Bird ladies have no such association in my mind, so you are safe with me.
ReplyDelete...and girl I swear I am getting your package out of my house this week. My only excuse besides the fact that I ran out of money to send it is that Aldi has been out of the tea that I wanted to share with you for over 2 months. I only have a few bags left, and unfortunately I cannot send you and entire box. I'm so so sorry for my delay. I will blame it an Aldi. Stupid Aldi!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I also want to Thank You for all of your wonderful comments on my blog. You have such an awesome way of expressing yourself, and such a freakin' awesome sense of humour. I bust out laughing every time. Oh, yeah and thank you for turning me on to Maia Hirasawa, she's simply wonderful!
I am glad we are blog friends!
I love that birdcage mirror. And the shower curtain. Great finds!!

Thanks for sharing the DIY birdhouses. I saw those were are ABC carpet and home and I feel in love!!
ReplyDeleteI love the outside picture with the bird cages. So cute!
ReplyDeleteAren't cats emotionally unavailable too? I mean, compared to dogs.
ReplyDeleteSooo cute..., I have some nautical birdhouses somewhere in my files.
ReplyDeletemee too! at the auction i was doing i bid on a BIRD FEEDER, what the heck? i've never been a bird feeder have to have lady...it's like the day i was excited about receiving a crock pot?! what is HAPPENING?!
ReplyDeleteMcKenna- But the bird could turn on you, like the movie the birds. You're too sweet! Can't wait for some foreign goodies! I love Maia Hirasawa so much, have you heard "Matis and Maya?"
ReplyDeleteJenifer- Between the two of us we could do a bird blog! Thanks for letting me photo steal.
Jennifer- I love those too. If I ever get knocked up I'm putting in the nursery. I love DIY, much cheaper than their Tamar Mogendorff counterparts.
Krysten- I need to find me some bird cages, and a yard with a tree to hang them from...then add candles for night time!
Mike- No way, my cats growing up were very invested in my emotional well being. Sure they may be a little snobbier than dogs, but they loyal too.
Maya- Nautical birdhouses? Don't tease me! Post! Post please!
Sheree- I love birdfeeders...only I'm too cheap to buy one. The last owners of our home have one made out of an XL jiffy peanut butter container. Works just fine!
Crock pot...I'm sending you some recipes!
You could be a Parrot lady! Imagine a large cage in your home, incessant squawking, worrying about the bird outliving you. What happens to those birds after their owners die, I wonder?
ReplyDeletethat birdie mirror is fabulous! also i'm determined to figure out a way to use mobils that is not in nurseries...i just love them!
ReplyDeletei love birds... and those birdhouses are adorable... i buy every vintage fabric i can with birds on them... xx
ReplyDeleteEric- Don't wonder that! So sad. I would only want a parrot if it could talk.
ReplyDeleteMonique- Good idea. I need some mobiles and I don't need a baby right now ;)
Red Ticking- Collecting vintage fabric with birds=good. Collecting birds= bad.
The bird mobile for Joan's shower was very cute! I can't believe how long ago that was. Is Elliot in college now? :) We need to host another baby shower soon.
ReplyDeleteChelsea- Yes we do! I have an idea...you get pregnant, and we'll throw a shower!
ReplyDeletetotally...ours was left behind and i won one [a whole garden basket worth $100 @ the play's auction] a hummingbird one! dying to use it! ;)
ReplyDeleteSheree- Nice! I love hummingbirds. And all they need is sugar and water so you don't have to trek to the store and get seeds for the little buggers to spread them all over your yard!
ReplyDeleteI love that shower curtain!! Thanks for sending it my way! I would take that mirror too.
ReplyDeleteVanessa- You're welcome! I kinda want it now too.
