Flashback Friday: So long sweet summer

Photobucket
Camping with my Sister and my Cabbage Patch doll
I should've sprung for this sweet haircut

I fear that summer is gone for good around here.  Wednesday was a sunny 88 degrees and yesterday...65 and rainy.  I'm just not ready.  I have some regrets.  Although I got in quite a few hikes, I never made it backpacking or camping.  That was one thing on my list to do.  I'm a procrastinator.

Last week, the night before my photoshoot with Mandy, I quickly made a hair appointment and stopped by a local nail salon for a walk in brow wax.  Which I haven't had done in the last two years. The nice lady examined my left eye brow she said "who did this to you brow?"   I guess that would be me...and my tweezers.  Then she pretty much took all of my right eyebrow off.  The moral of this story is, don't do walk in brow waxes at a nail salon and make sure you go camping before summer ends.

At least cold weather brings lots of Pho' and makes hot yoga tolerable.  Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. It's feeling like Fall here too. I'm excited though! Brad and I talked last night about camping within the next month.
I got a few good hikes in too but never not enough :(
As for the brows.. I'm a weirdo about mine! I never tweez and go regulary to get them waxed. And.. no.. NEVER, NEVER a walk in nail salon!

  3. I've had a very similar experience at a nail salon for waxing... the sad part is when I'm in a crunch I still go back, such a procrastinator! hope you still have a few nice days left up there!

  5. I'm completely denying that summer is over. It's supposed to storm all weekend, but I have hopes for an Indian summer!

  9. Such a cute picture!

I haven't done much hiking or camping this summer, but it's ok! September is the best month for hiking around here! So hopefully I can get some good hikes in over the next few weeks...

I'm starting to look forward to fall. Mmmmmm pho and hot coffee beverages...

  14. Katia- Yes! I'm not ready either. Although we were just discussing Halloween so maybe we're more ready than we thought?

Dee- Shoot! Why didn't you read my mind and tell me not to go the walk in salon? I don't know if the weather is good enough here for camping in September this year.

asj- Yes I do that too. And I've never had a good experience. When will I learn?

Krysten- WHAT?! Don't you say that.

Ashley- Okay not my whole eyebrow. I was exaggerating.

Jenifer- Ah I love that movie...have you seen it? I'm hoping for one too!

Maya- Me too, I barely even had any in the first place!

    Jaime- Yes I do please!

OneCraftyFox- Thanks for following! It was a traumatic experience. Although ripping hair out of your body usually is right?

Jaime-I think mine was Miranda too! I better check that with my Mom though. I can't remember.

Stevie- Yes, when the leaves change! As long as it doesn't rain :(

Becky- What is wrong with you?!?!

    Rebecca- Thank you!

Gramychou- Walter has always had interesting taste.

Punctuation mark- I'll trade you weather!
