Lavendar Mint Lemonade
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup mint leaves
1 cup of fresh lavender stems (leaves and flowers) or 1 to 2 TBS dried lavender flowers
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
Bring the water and sugar to a boil to make sugar syrup. Remove from heat and add in the mint and lavender. When the syrup is cool, add the lemon and lime juice. Strain the syrup and pour into a pitcher with 5 to 8 cups of cold water (whatever suits those taste buds). Serve over ice and garnish with mint and lavender.
Add a splash of vodka or limoncello if I'm coming over.
And just because it is Thursday and I think you deserve more than a recipe...
Last weekend, while watching The Time Traveler's Wife
Bryan: Did you see that? He just kissed a naked little boy
Me: Yes, but it is really himself in the past and the future so it's okay
Bryan: I don't think that will hold up in court

Oh.. THANKS!!Gotta save this one for our next get together.
ReplyDeleteLove me some limoncello!!
"I don't think that will hold up in court." Lol, awesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hilarious exchange. Still have to watch that movie.
ReplyDeleteThey say that if you could kiss yourself it's like masturbation.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't do that if I could for two reasons:
#1 - I'm ugly
#2 - I'm not gay.
LOL
I kissed a mirror once just to leave a big red smooch on it to remind hubby of me (when he got up to shave and I was alreay off to work). Or was I kissing myself? ....hmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteI love it when you post the dialogue between you and your husband! So funny. Sounds like conversation Philip and I would have. I love it. And lavender mint lemonade?? Sounds interesting, but good. I should make it! (minus the alcohol) :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL love that little dialogue during the movie...
