Just about every year my Mom, Sister and I pickle green beans. My family loves them and you can find them on the relish tray at every family dinner. Each year it is the same process. Chaos. You'd think we'd have it down to a science by now, but we do not. It will always require 3 trips to the store and someone yelling not to talk to them when they are counting measuring cups full of vinegar. This year involved a few exploding jars too.

What's the dill?

ReplyDeleteThere's an old joke about toilet paper, boobs and a butt. You probably know it. It won't work for you because you don't have a large butt.
ReplyDeleteGreen beans are best eaten raw and unwashed, like chicken. But I will be sure to try some pickled if I ever run across it.
Mmmmm. It makes my mouth water ;)

ReplyDeleteScott cleared the garden this weekend and we had a bazillion peppers and onions so he made reslish. Three days later, I can't get rid of the vinegar smell in my clothes, purse, house, etc. Any tips?
This is great! Love all the garlic you added!! The only thing I ever did (or rather watched doing my Mom) was making jars of jam.
ReplyDeleteMMMM DEEELISH. I just recently within the last year discovered I love green beans. Now I want some in my mouth right now. And I want to try the pickled variety.
ReplyDeleteI really want to learn how to do this!!! I keep telling myself once I have a decent sized kitchen I will give it a go. The Hubs is worried that I am going to poison him.
