Planning vacations are just as exhausting as taking them. Well, maybe only for an indecisive gal like me. Should we go here? Should we go there? Put it on paper just in case! I feel like I've been spending all my free computer time searching for train tickets. Okay, I've done my fair share of pinning as well ;)
P.S. I am not complaining...just trying to tie in a flashback photo. How'd I do?
Just making cheese in Gruyere, Switzerland...no big deal
Considering a pit stop in Gruyere soley for the raspberries and double cream.
I'm sure Bryan would like to see the torture chamber in the castle as well...

Dustin liked the torture chambers in the castles we saw in Germany and Austria. Ick!
ReplyDeleteThe planning stage of vacation wears me out. So many decisions, but how lucky we are we even get to do it.
Are you kidding? I'm always so exhausted the week before starting the vacations that I would pay not to go anymore ahahahahah
ReplyDeleteBut like Diana says we're lucky for being able to... give the guy the torture chamber and dungeons and then move to the "real" stuff ahahahahahaha
But are you taking notes? I don't do that. I buy a guide - my favorites are the ones that have divisions by areas or neighborhoods - and then try to follow it....
But I guess your way allows you to know better beforehand the places and the history.
Wishing you a lovely weekend,
Teresa
Planning a vacation IS a ton of work. There's a gal on my team who is going to Europe for the first time next month, so she and I have been talking a lot about what she should/should not do, must see cities/attractions, getting train tickets and flights between countries, etc. It's exhausting, for sure. But so, so worth it. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteaaaaaaaaah so jealous. can't wait to hear about it and I am always a fan of planning trips around food!
ReplyDeleteAgain, as always, love your old photos!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to hear about your trip!
ReplyDeleteSitting at the airport now with a ticket to FCO in my hand. Did you guys decide to spend any time around Lucerne/ Italian Alps?
ReplyDeleteCiao!
I agree, planning vacations is tough! Especially because I'm one that likes to have an itinerary chock-full of things to do. Once you actually get there though, I'm sure you'll have a blast!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely that way! I think I got it from my mom.
