Have you ever had a Peanut Buster Parfait? We usually get them at our local Dairy Queen but I don't know if it is their creation. I always forget about them, but the other night we went to a friend's house for dinner and that is what I brought for dessert. I think if I had to pick a favorite dessert, this could be it.
Easier than a sundae it's vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge and Spanish peanuts (it has to be Spanish peanuts, don't make me come over there).
I didn't fancy layer it the way they do...
Madison approved.
Don't you wish you could get away with PJ's and a tutu again?
What did you do this weekend?
When I was growing up, the peanut buster parfait was hands down my most favorite dessert. I didn't stop ordering them until one day I discovered their blizzards. Maybe I'll have one in your honor today, though I really don't need the calories. Haha, when does that ever stop me?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Oh yes! So yummy! My neighbor has been telling me to get them because they are GF... Hope you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe Parfait was one of my favorites as a kid!!! Now I just go for a dip cone or a tropical blizzard!
ReplyDeleteThe parfaits were delicious, thanks again for bringing them over. I used the leftover spanish peanuts for another recipe this weekend too! cute pics of my Maddie, it was fun!
ReplyDeleteYum! I'm so hungry right now, so this is not helping... : )
ReplyDeleteMadison has some fabulous wardrobe changes
ReplyDeleteMy husband eats this treat almost every night. But of course we use Alabama grown peanuts! He usually adds a frozen banana. Yum!
ReplyDeleteSorry Nikki but Madison absolutely adorable look beats your "yummy thing" any time...
ReplyDeleteI never heard or read about Peanut Buster Parfait before but why on earth does it need to be Spanish Peanuts?!
I'm thinking with those already roasted with honey almonds it would go wonderfully well... and since you're on the road to perdition anyway, better get there in high style ahahahaahh
I could really go for a peanut buster parfait right now....yummy!
ReplyDeleteMMMmmmm! That looks so goooood! Nope, never had one, but I really really want one now!
ReplyDeleteAnd haha I totally have smell nostalgia too, so weird right? But I didn't have any this time around. Taste nostalgia maybe at the crepe place :o)
And bugs have nothing to do with epilepsy haha, they just have a whole bunch of idfferent , acts, buskers, and costumed people through the event who donate the money they make there towards epilepsy. :o)
*drooling*
ReplyDeleteum, i pretty much need to eat this today. look out for a blog posting with this! :)
ReplyDeleteWait, you mean I can't get away with PJs and a tutu?
ReplyDeleteI just had a new version of it, they put peanutbutter in the layers instead of whole nuts. It was delightful.
