Picnic time...

Earlier this year I was going to make my Sister and I picnic quilts so when we did stuff with the kids the photos would turn out better.  Yes it's true.  Now Summer is almost over...whoops!  Not to fear, Pinterest came to my rescue and brought me yet another awesome thing to do with canvas drop cloths and paint.  Check out this awesome picnic chevron picnic blanket by Twigs & ThistlePinterest is so great I don't even have to think anymore...

To make it even easier on myself, when I have kids I'll be sending them to Cooking Thyme so I don't even have to worry about the picnic part anymore.  The kids will do it for me...

If you live in the Portland area, or any of the other spots with stars (I'm really bad at geography), check out this great cooking camp for kids ages 6-12.  I would've loved that when I was 6-12 ;)  Check out all the details at Cooking Thyme.

Now who's ready for a picnic?

  1. Crazy cute picnic blanket! Looks very doable. Just saw chevron as inspiration here, too: http://www.ohhellofriendblog.com/2011/08/keyword-chevron.html

  2. Ooooo love the picnic blanket. If you really wanted to sew there are some onesies you could finish ;-) My friends were asking the other night if baby had worn theirs yet. Opps...

  5. Love that blanket, I just want to go on a picnic. Anywhere but in my windowless office... I don't own any chevron patterns yet but I feel like I could definitely fit it into our "style"
